Meet Jocelyn Dornfeld – VP & Marketing Manager
What best describes me? Well…
I’m obsessed with houses. The architecture, colors, designs – creative new ways to turn drab into fab and also keeping traditional details, it’s all so interesting to me. My husband Matt and I bought a house to “flip” it. Remodels are fun (don’t throw a shoe at me…ohh shoes!) and I’d love to do another one.
I’ve been participating in triathlons and various runs for about 5 years now. I love the competitiveness with myself and so far I’ve been out running all the kids – the adults, well…their fast! Cheer for me if you ever make it out, I’m the one with the t-shirt reading “Please God, let there be someone reading the back of this shirt!”
I also love to hunt and be outdoors. My husband taught me how to shoot and now he’s got competition! Last year I harvested my biggest 8 point buck! It’s something about being outside, sitting by yourself, in a tree, waiting, freezing…huh…sounds like a boat load of fun! We also went bear hunting in Alaska last year, didn’t get a bear but we did catch 45lbs. King Salmon and Halibut – yum! We’re trying the bear hunt again this year.
I have a great love of art and photography. I don’t like buying reproductions because the feelings are missing. Sounds like a typical artist but it’s true. Currently, I have a wildlife photography line that I am very proud of. Interested? You should be! Each one has a story to tell.
I love what I do at the Ganser Company. I’m definitely a right brain left brain person and I love to keep people guessing. Once you think you’ve figured me out – I’ll throw something out there that’ll make your wheels spin! Marketing keeps me balanced. You’ve got the creative side and then the tracking side; it’s the best of both worlds.
